First Foray into eBay

Prompted by this post at MyMoney blog, I decided to try selling some stuff on eBay. We live in a small house, so periodic de-cluttering is a necessity!

Unfortunately, my camera batteries died just as I got started. Fearful of losing the selling gusto, I listed three books on half.com. I've never sold anything on eBay or Half.com, so I'm curious to see how it goes. One thing I couldn't find was how long my items stay listed on Half.com. Does anyone know??

    I sell books, cd's and dvd's on half.com; no listing fees, and I think you can have items listed indefinitely (I've had some textbooks listed for going on 5 yrs now). Sort of a nice passive way to earn some money.

    I should look into it myself as I have a ton of stuff that I no longer use or need!

    paigu is correct it is up there indefinitely, if you are ever going to be gone for awhile you can set yourself out for vacation and then check in when you return. I have sold a lot of books this way. Mysteries, self-help and technical works have done best in my experience.

    One of the books sold already! I think I'm going to start to look at all my books a little more critically!
